Case Study – Rosie May Foundation Christmas Strictly Event
A live event is obviously a little different to taking to photographs in a studio or of a building as your subjects are moving.
The brief was to capture the dancers who each performed a waltz and a jive, both of which contained some amazing choreography, and to capture some images of the audience enjoying themselves.
Equipment used –
2 x Nikon D810 camera bodies
1 x AF-S Nikkor 24-70mm F2.8G ED Lens
1 x AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm F2.8 GII ED Lens
1 x Nikon AF-S TC-14E II Teleconverter 1.4x
1 x Godox TT685N Speedlight Flash
1 x Gary Fong Lightsphere Mk 2 Flash Diffuser
Flash was only used for non-action images.
Settings –
Shutter speed between 1/160 and 1/250
Aperture between 5.6 and 6.3
ISO between 4000 and 5000
